Who is the ISBG for?
Anyone who is suffering from asbestos related lung cancer (ARLC), allergic occupational asthma or chronic solvent induced encephalopathie (CSE) in the Netherlands can claim financial compensation from the government. You can arrange for this by applying to the ISBG.
ISBG provides services to victims free of charge.
Compensation amount
People who are suffering from ARLC, allergic occupational asthma or CSE can apply to the ISBG for compensation of €22,121. This is the amount applicable for 2022. The compensation amount is indexed annually. Together with the claimant, the ISBG will look at how the exposure to asbestos took place. The ISBG will subsequently advise the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) about the entitlement to compensation. The SVB will decide whether or not to award the compensation.
